Hello Fashionistas!
I have a confession. In my perfectly ordered closet, with every item of clothing grouped with like pieces and gradually transitioning from warm weather to cold, when I honestly step back and look at it, I’m hit with how many of my pieces look the same.  For starters, I love me some basic colors.  Black. White. Gray.  And then there’s my accidental obsession with horizontal stripes.  I have so many tops and tanks and dresses that fall into one of these color categories.  Does this mean that things aren’t getting warn because I have doubles? Absolutely not.  That’s what’s almost shocking actually, is that those little black dresses or tank tops that I own are some of the pieces that see THE MOST wear.  What does this tell me?

Well first of all I clearly understand my own fashion niche pretty well.  I know what I like to wear, what I feel good in.  Secondly, these pieces each have their own unique twist that is what drew me to them and is the exact reason I wear them so much. That favorite black tank I have that I love to layer things over, well I don’t know about you all but I’m not to the point where I’m going to ACTUALLY wear it every day, there needs to be a little rest.  Therefore, the new items, although similar to ones I already own, get worn a lot and are loved for their own special twist.  What does this all add up?

You’ve loved and worn your other piece and I promise you will do exactly the same with this new one.  Often times one little unique detail is enough to really freshen up a wardrobe and make an outfit feel special.

My advice to you is to know your style! Know the things that make you feel good! If you see a new little black dress, or tank top, or whatever it is, that drew you to it even though you already own something similar to it, don’t be afraid to buy it!

Summer Accessories!

One of the best things about changing seasons is changing your wardrobe! It is super easy to transition into wearing cute dresses, shorts and sandals but one thing can be easily forgotten…. ACCESSORIES! Yes ladies, we are all guilty of it!
I have gotten so attached to my favorite black studded purse that it is difficult to part with it. Recently on my trip to Florida, as always I brought along my favorite black cross-body, as I was out and about I didn’t realize the sun was baking my purse. Without thinking about I grabbed my purse and… OUCH! My purse felt like it was on fire! That was it, I decided enough is enough and committed to make my accessories more summer friendly.

Not sure where to start? Think about color! Spring/Summer is a great time to have fun with your accessories, wear bright colors. There are so many options out there, why not have a little fun with it?! A purse is a great way to pull an outfit all together. Don’t forget to change-up your necklaces, earrings and bracelets! Layered necklaces are super popular and very practical for this time of year. A layered necklace gives you an easy ready-to-go look, light enough for the warmer weather!

Relish your rompers!

Rompers are all the rage right now and I can’t blame people for being obsessed with them because I am! A romper can be compared to a jumpsuit/jumper. Practically every celebrity is sporting a romper to red carpet events, dinner parties or days off and so can you!

    

The great part about a romper is that it an ready-to-go outfit, one piece and you are out the door. Rompers come in a variety of shapes, colors and prints. So it is important to pick one that suits you!
If have an eclectic style pick a romper with a fun print
If you are more sophisticated/chic pick a solid color romper with a fitted structure.
If you are a boho girl pick a floral romper with a flowy structure.

Try on a romper and it doesn’t work? Don’t give up! When rompers first became popular I had my hopes fixed on getting one for myself. After a couple of fails in the dressing room I about gave up on finding the perfect romper. When I least expected it I found the cutest halter top, loose fitted romper at Jules Boutique and my love for rompers was ignited once again.

Keep trying until you find one that you love. There are so many different types of rompers, trust me you will definitely find one for you!

Not sure how to style your romper once its sitting in your closet? Here are a few tips…
– If you want to dress up your romper for a formal occasion pair it with nude heels or wedges and a belt.
– If you are wearing it for a casual day pair your romper with strappy sandals and a sun hat.

Most importantly, HAVE FUN with your romper!
Don’t be afraid to take a risk, play with different accessories and styles. Let your romper be you mini-getaway!
